Mr. Matthew Freeman writes about genres and subgenres in theatre and the importance of genres in relation to marketing (yes, theatre people, in order to successfully self-produce theatre without going bankrupt and in order to stage a play that will garner an audience consisting of more than just friends and relatives you do have to think about marketing every now and then) brilliantly here.
