Bloodbeam Saloonchpin

So we've got a pretty full Saturday. The Blood Brothers show is today at 5:30 over at the Kraine Theater in Manhattan.

Meanwhile, over at the Brick Theater in Brooklyn, Captain Moonbeam and Lynchpin is today at 5.

So no, you physically can't go to both. Or can you...?

Because it just so happens that if you can't choose, excerpts of both will be at the Saturday Night Saloon: Last Call tonight at 8.

That's right. We're overbooked. Because we're looking out for you. Either that, or we just don't know how to organize a schedule. You know. Whichever.

Usurping your weekend,

James "Theatre Tyrant" Comtois

Saturday, June 25 - The Saturday Night Saloon: Last Call

It pains me to report that the Vampire Cowboys has decided to give up its space, the Battle Ranch, up to the Great Space in the Sky.

After rehearsing there and performing so many serial plays as part of the Saturday Night Saloon for so many years, the Ranch has felt like just as much of a home to Nosedive Central as it was to the Cowboys. I'm definitely gonna miss going to this space.

But alas, nothing lasts forever, especially in New York.

So, for everyone who would like to celebrate the life the mourn the death of the Ranch, the Vampire Cowboys are presenting The Saturday Night Saloon: Last Call on on Saturday, June 25:

As always, the party's free, the all-you-can-drink beer (or until we run out) is only $5, and the shows are always crazy fun!

Why drink at a bar when you can party it up at The Saloon?

For this one-night only event, the Saloon features performances, poetry, and pieces by some of the Saloon's most beloved All-Stars:

James Comtois, The Blood Brothers (Pete Boisvert & Patrick Shearer),
Dustin Chinn, Jon Hoche & Robert Ross Parker,
Mac Rogers, Brian Silliman, Crystal Skillman, and more!

HACK! (The Short Recommendation)

Well, I was hoping to write a longer and more thoughtful post on why you should go see the penultimate performance of HACK! An I.T. Spaghetti Western tonight at the Brick Theater in Williamsburg. Unfortunately, doing day job stuff (i.e., work)—as well as last-minute things before tonight's dress rehearsal for The Little One—has pretty much hamstrung me at the moment from being able to write anything more than, you should indeed go see the penultimate performance of HACK! An I.T. Spaghetti Western tonight at the Brick Theater in Williamsburg.

Once we open our own show, I hope to write something a little more substantial. But for now, go see it. It's fun. It made me laugh. It made the audience I watched it with laughed.

Back to futzing with last-minute show preps,

James "Diligent Procrastinator" Comtois

Tonight: Geek Out With HACK

Tonight, the Impetuous Theater Group is hosting a video game-playing fundraising event at Barcade for Hack! an I.T. Spaghetti Western by Crystal Skillman playing at the Brick Theater's Too Soon Festival this June.

I saw the serialized version of this show at the Vampire Cowboys' last Saturday Night Saloon and I can attest the show is great fun.

Were you a Donkey Kong champion in your youth? Did you stay up late playing Mike Tyson's Punch Out, Contra, Tetris, or Paper Boy on Nintendo? Here is your chance to get your nerd groove going and help us raise a little money to produce the kickass, laugh out loud show Hack! an I.T. Spaghetti Western by Crystal Skillman.

For $20 you get 20 quarters
(So it's really only $15)

Plus discount drinks all night, nerdy snacks to keep your energy up all night long, and cool prizes for the evening's high scores!

7 PM!!

BARCADE is located at 388 Union Ave (Williamsburg)
Take the L to Lorimer (Exit at Union Ave) OR
Take the G to Metropolitan

I'm definitely hitting both the show and the video game-playing fundraiser up. Join me?

Expecting to hit up Crystal for more quarters,
